FAQs
Do I need a New Zealand bank account?
You will need to have a New Zealand bank account, as offshore bank accounts are more complex to process. If you are unable to provide a New Zealand bank account, please get in touch with us at info@holidaysactreview.beca.com.
When will I receive my payment?
After registering your details, please allow up to eight weeks for your payment to be processed, provided your information can be validated.
How will my payment be taxed?
As part of registering your details you will need to confirm your tax code. Your payment will be taxed as a lump sum payment and reported to IRD as income in the current tax year. Further information about lump sum payments can be found in this IRD factsheet.
What about my KiwiSaver and Student Loan?
You will be asked to confirm your KiwiSaver deduction rate or proof that you are on a savings suspension. Your contribution will be deducted from your payment and Beca will also pay the employer contribution.
If you provide a student loan tax code, student loan repayments will be deducted from your remediation payment.
